2012 was a great year for PlayStation 3.
The fans had plenty of releases to try and kill their time with. Some of them
were better than others, but it usually depends on what kind of genre you like.
All in all, some reviews were just too positive to ignore the respective
titles. It makes no difference if you like strategy or shooter games. After
all, the must-have games are appropriate for anyone.
Journey

Journey is not just one of the best games
of 2012, but one of the all-time classics. Some people would say this is not a
game, but an interesting application. Unlike other games, you do not have any
missions or goals to achieve. Instead, you are free to do whatever you feel
like in an unknown scenario. Whether you fly around, walk or explore, you have
the possibility to discover an ancient civilization. The secret stays in the
multi-player options. You are supposed to interact with strangers and
communicate through sounds and mimics. It sounds strange, but the experience is
definitely unique.
The Unfinished Swan

The Unfinished Swan is yet another
inspiring application for PlayStation 3. The game is very rich in mysteries and
unique designs, only for you to interpret everything according to your
imagination. The story presents a young boy who lost his mother. There is only
one connection between them – an old painting presenting her. One day, he finds
the painting gone. Instead, a magic door aims to take him to an amazing
kingdom. From that moment on, you step inside a unique adventure with plenty of
mysteries.
MLB 12 – The Show
MLB 12 – The Show |
MLB 12 – The Show is probably the best
sequel in the series. From many points of view, this is the best baseball video
game you can find today. Since it does not have any competition, most fans
expected it to lack a series of features. However, the developer managed to
bring in a unique experience for all the baseball fans.
Twisted Metal
Twisted Metal |
No one really expected Twisted Metal to be
brought back, although there were plenty of rumours. The new release imitates
the original series, but with an upgraded experience. The cars are very easy to
handle, while the fights are fast and smooth. No one can complain about the
level diversity either, since each scenario comes with something new. Overall,
this game can be really fun. You can just drive and shoot anything that moves.

Starhawk
Starhawk |
Starhawk is great for those who expect
serious missions and some actual goals. The third person shooter takes you to
the future. You are Emmett, a gunner who is supposed to protect the humankind
against an aggressive species of humans. The combat is the strongest point in
Starhawk. You got plenty of weapons at your disposal, not to mention about the
vehicles you can use. Your strategy is just as important, since you can call
for defensive or offensive help throughout your missions.

Conclusion
In the end, 2012 brought in a series of
productions for all kind of players. As long as you got the time to try them
all, it is almost impossible to get bored. With such a good year behind, most
enthusiasts are anxiously waiting to try the new productions in 2013.
